ROTATING INSERTS

Rotating inserts are a component of the feed rod, which are installed in the bar loader. The bar feed collets are mounted and fastened to the rotating inserts. Depending on the manufacturer, the bar feed collets are connected to the rotating inserts by a cross pin, three set screws or an internal thread. Rotating inserts are used by the well-known bar loader manufacturers, such as BECHLER, BREUNING, FMB, GAUTHIER, IEMCA, INDEX/TRAUB, LNS, TORNOS and TRYTON.
The task of the rotating insert is to accommodate the rotation of the raw material. During this process, the material to be machined is clamped in the bar feed collet.
